Application for the doctoral program Medieval and Renaissance Studies

The Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (ZMR) interlinks the relevant activities in research and teaching that are carried out at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in density and excellence unparalleled in all of Germany. The establishment of an interdisciplinary and cross-faculty doctorate program allows young academics to profit from the interdisciplinary expertise accumulated in the ZMR.

The program aims both to promote independent research by doctorate students and to create structures that guarantee concentrated exchange amongst students and continuous supervision by a team of professors. It therefore includes a variety of modules for academic qualification as well as a well-structured supervision concept.
